Wash and condition your hair in the shower. After the shower, towel dry your hair until it is damp, but not dripping water. Divide your hair into two ponytails and comb through until it is smooth.
Use your hands and a comb to separate the hair on the crown of your head from the rest of your hair. The hair should not include your bangs, and should amount to one-third of the hair on your head. Twist the hair on the crown of your head until it is taut and then clip it on the top of your head.
Divide the remaining hair equally on the right and left side of your neck and twist each of the two sections around itself once. Clip each section of hair behind your ear with two bobby pins. The hair twist should be taut, so that it smooths the curls out of the hair.
Remove the clip from the hair at the crown of the head and divide the hair into right and left sections. Twist each sections around itself once and pin each section behind your ears. The twist should look exactly the same as the twist of hair at the nape of your neck.
Wrap a scarf around your hair or place a sleeping cap on it to secure it. Air dry your hair overnight and remove the pins in the morning.
